WELCOME to Homeschool Library Builder, a Christian family-run book business dedicated to providing great literature at affordable prices. Our company was started in 2001 by Diane McKee, a friend and fellow homeschool mom. Like us, Diane has a profound love for great children's and young adult literature. Starting with just a few choice titles, consistent prayers and the Lord’s guidance, the business has grown with an ever-changing inventory of the best in literature for all ages.

When she decided to sell her business and move into another life season, we were blessed with the opportunity to step in. Thus, in July of 2007, we completed the acquisition and are now eager to continue the excellent service you have experienced in the past.

Who Are We? So glad you asked! We are the Huffman and Weatherford families. Julie (of the Huffmans) and Gayla (of the Weatherfords) are homeschool moms who also love great books and irresistible bargains. Between our two families, we are blessed with eight children, and have spent many hours cultivating in them the love of choice literature. Through our respective homeschooling journeys, our families have been introduced to many wonderful, timeless books. We have enjoyed the great titles recommended by literature-based curriculums -- “living” books which awaken imaginations and foster a desire for deeper understanding. Over the years, we have built our own home libraries with classic volumes and timeless treasures which will be cherished for generations to come!

Our Purpose: Although we happen to be homeschoolers, please do not be misled! Our books are excellent choices for anyone, regardless of age or chosen educational path. Our desire and delight is to assist you by offering selections to enrich your child’s education, from preschool through high school, and beyond. In addition to books recommended by highly-respected and widely used homeschool curriculums, we offer titles specifically chosen to supplement unit studies, promote sound moral character, and provide knowledge of truths for curious youngsters. We want to help you build your own excellent library and create memorable reading experiences for your family!

What we sell: We stock new and used, hardcover and softcover titles. Most of our new titles are publisher’s remainders and overstocks. Our used books are rated by condition and priced accordingly. Most of our used titles are in very good or better condition. Additionally, we are always on the lookout for hard-to-find or out-of-print titles. If you are not completely happy with your purchase, for whatever reason, please contact us within 30 days of your original purchase date.
